As a Christ-follower, the greatest spiritual gift you own is Christ’s love in you. His love shapes your heart. He transforms your faith, and shatters your finite concept of happiness, replacing it with His gentle touch of grace. His presence in you magnifies your character to become someone who brings light to the world, not because of what you do, but because of who you are.

It would be such great sorrow to live your life quenching that gift. Imagine having to stifle God in you because of fear of showing up, for whatever reason. You will miss out on the experience of allowing him to touch the lives of those he brings across your path. God will still do what he does to cause their own hearts to be tugged toward his. But you might not see how he is using you . Flip that around, and imagine what it would feel like to authentically be, while watching for God to do what he does with the life that is surrendered to him.
