Where I Started

If you regularly read my blog (which I’m sure is an impossibility since I haven’t regularly posted), then you’ve noticed that I tend to be a pretty deep thinker. And, I’ve had this hang-up that only deep, meaningful, well-worded-past-history-works-of-art are post-worthy.  The problem – and the very thing that has kept me from writing regularly – is that being a single, stay-at-home mom of two teenage boys tends to create a vocabulary of half-sentences and grunts which don’t translate well to “deep and meaningful.”  While we have done well to establish a healthy new normal post-divorce, our life is still messy, draining, demanding and fun. More often than not, the best I can regurgitate into words is a headliner for Twitter in 140 characters or less.

A New Focus

So, I’d like to shift gears a little from here on out. I still thrive on building creative analogies that get under the surface of our normal facades. But,  I want to create more space here to connect with you!  I need people in my space, helping me to navigate the stupid things of life, so really this is an invitation for you to become that “people.”  I’m not sure what that really looks like…?  Especially since I’m opening up myself to rambling on about the raw, unfiltered, unfinished sentences that define my life these days.  My goal is to regularly interject a little something into your week, just to remind you I’m here for you and invite you to be there for me.  We can laugh together, cry together, and hopefully find a better way through life together.

Next Steps

As God brings your path across mine, my hope is that it will be a breath of fresh air for you. If you’re in it with me, please sign up for my email list. or Facebook page, or Instagram. I think that will enable us to interact more personally, and give you a chance to tell me your stories, too.
