mission statement

To ignite life and hope in the most desolate places, empowering clients to confront their challenges and uncover the profound peace, fulfillment, and joy they have long yearned for.

approach

Lauren thrives in delving deeply into her client’s story to identify where they feel stuck, enabling them to move forward in connecting with God and others. Often, the things we perceive as obstacles are actually opportunities for growth, and Lauren wants to help you navigate your journey to wholeness.

Hardships or losses do not have to mark the end of our journey; they can instead serve as the beginning of a healing process that leads to a new, beautiful chapter in life. When we are pushed outside our comfort zones by difficulties, we grow and move toward wholeness, allowing us to see life from a fresh perspective.

Negative events often trigger unhealthy narratives we have believed about ourselves. Lauren likes to navigate what is the pain of the hardships revealing – negative beliefs, narratives, and painful emotions – a client needs to address so they can move to freedom.  Lauren believes this process makes us more resilient, creative, wise, and peaceful as we heal and become whole. As we confront the pain and move beyond it, we discover who God created us to be as He heals our hearts. It is in this space that we begin to witness and understand God’s redemption in our lives through our pain.

By addressing negative beliefs, we can connect more deeply with ourselves. Within each of us are keys of wisdom from past experiences to overcoming obstacles, and by fostering this connection, you can unlock new opportunities.

Cultivating a deep and healthy connection with yourself is crucial for nurturing authentic relationships with others and forging profound bonds that enrich your life.
Lauren firmly believes that no matter how overwhelming the sense of brokenness may feel, there is always a path toward redemption, joy, and lasting peace waiting just ahead. She would be deeply honored to walk alongside you on your journey, offering unwavering support as you forge ahead to a greater relationship with self, God, and others.

education & experience

Lauren has had a heart for helping hurting people since her late teens. She earned her undergraduate degree in Christian Counseling from a small Bible college, with plans to work specifically with women. She then took a job in Chicago at a nonprofit organization, where she worked in their international department and mentored young women around the world. She had the privilege of witnessing how the truths of Jesus’ love transcend cultural barriers, helping to restore the broken places in people’s hearts. Additionally, she worked with troubled youth, including juvenile delinquents, and saw them make progress as she listened to them, understood their coping patterns and the lies they believed, and helped them connect Jesus to the deepest pains in their hearts.

Years later, Lauren found herself in a domestically abusive marriage and was involved in a lawsuit, testifying in court against the former leader of the nonprofit, Bill Gothard.  After becoming a single mother and experiencing Jesus meeting her in her brokenness, Lauren’s heart remained devoted to bringing comfort, hope, and love to other women. She began pursuing writing devotionals aimed at helping women who were hurting after being betrayed by “religion”—those who profess to know God but do not live it—and those who had experienced abuse.

This path led her to work for Called to Peace Ministries as the Communications Coordinator in early 2020. Called to Peace Ministries is an international faith-based advocacy organization that brings hope and healing to women impacted by domestic abuse. In her role there, Lauren empowers individuals by educating them about the critical differences between abusive relationships and healthy, God-centered ones. As a communicator on behalf of the organization, she has been trained as a trauma-informed writer and communicator. With 100 hours of rigorous training as a domestic abuse advocate through House of Peace Publications and mentorship from leading national experts in domestic abuse, Lauren is uniquely equipped to guide others in navigating the journey toward building safe, healthy relationships. She has also had the opportunity to mentor with multiple therapists and counselors to better understand how to support women in overcoming as they navigate challenges, trauma, and brokenness.

She has successfully mentored thousands of women through her writing, podcasts, and authentic connections, helping them connect with and rediscover the heart of God so that they can move forward in the redemption He has for them.
